Studies regarding the effectiveness of dress codes are inconclusive. And a growing concern with student dress codes is that they're not always applied equally to boys and girls, with dress codes often being stricter for girls on the basis that what they wear can be "distracting" to boys. In addition, some people have raised issues of free speech and religious freedom in terms of what T-shirt messages students have a right to wear. So the issue of enforcing a dress code is not that simple.

He is visually skinny and slightly shorter than Rowley, with the exception of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (film), where he is slightly taller than Rowley.
Emily Catherine Fields is the daughter of a formerly deployed veteran, Wayne Fields and his wife, Pam Fields. She grew up in Rosewood and was a talented swimmer from a young age. Before the 8th grade, she met Alison DiLaurentis, the popular girl at Rosewood High School. She became a member of Alison's "posse", who became known as The Liars to other people. The five girls, Alison, Spencer, Aria, and Emily, were inseparable. She was always shy and introverted and often avoided talking about her love life.
Emily later met fellow swim-team member, Paige McCullers, who was a closeted lesbian. Emily helped Paige cope with her sexuality and come out to her father. Emily dated a few girls throughout high school, including Sabrina, Samara Cook, and on-and-off-again relationship with Paige. She soon discovered that Alison was still alive, which lead Alison to confide in Emily. She helped Alison to return to Rosewood, which strained her relationship with Paige. Paige and Emily eventually broke up when Paige moved away. In the meantime, Emily continued to grow closer to Alison, as she felt she had to protect her friend.
Talia Sandoval: Kissed and Briefly Dated. (See "Emalia") Emily and Talia met when Talia was hired at The Brew by Ezra. Emily initially disliked Talia as she thought Ezra's hiring of her was due to his lack of faith in Emily. As they butted heads over the changes in uniforms and dishes, they slowly grew closer and shared flirtious moments. Emily finally kissed Talia, though they shared a second kiss a few days later in the spot where Talia would of had her first kiss. They began a relationship though decided to take things slow due to Talia having a husband and being rather new to the exploration of her sexuality. When Emily talked to Talia's husband she learned that Talia being into girls was "just an experiment" and ended things with Talia.
